Student Organization Accounts

This group of accounts is maintained to account for the resources held by the institution as custodian or fiscal agent for organizations recognized by the Student Life Office and the University. Services provided to the organizations are check preparation and maintenance of accounting records. Deposits are made at the Division of Student Accounting Services. These accounts cannot be established to supplement a department budget account, for an educational activity, or to account for private gifts or funding. New accounts must be approved by the Office of Student Life. The RSO Direct Pay Request form is located within your EKU Direct account, under the EKU eForms tab titled “Direct Pay Request.” After it has been completed and signed, it should be submitted to Accounts Payable in Jones 212 (CPO3A) to request a check be prepared. 

Direct pay requests must be signed by 2 individuals who are on the current year signature card.  If the direct pay request is made out to an individual who is one of the people listed on the signature card, that individual cannot be one of the 2 signatures approving the disbursement.

Signature cards are maintained in the Office of Student Life.
